ISHITA BANERJEE

Montreal-based artist Ishita combines modern Cubism with abstract expressionism to create bold, vivid works that reflect her impulsive and imaginative nature. With both a BFA and MFA, her art captures deep emotions such as love, longing, and loss, often delving into the complexities of human relationships, whether self-reflective or interpersonal. 

 

Ishita’s pieces stand out for their vibrant colors, strong motifs, and intricate details, which give life to non-traditional portraits and abstract forms. Deeply inspired by the freedom of Cubism, her art breaks away from conventional rules of perspective, offering interpretations as fluid and transient as human emotions.
